Jatiluwih Cycling Tour

It’s quite a breathtaking experience to stand at the peak of Jatiluwih and look out to what seems like endless rice terraces that disappear into the horizon. But cycling through Jatiluwih’s Rice Terraces lets you experience their vastness from a different perspective.

The Jatiluwih Cycling Tour is a perfect adventure for those who’d like to enjoy a wonderful scenic ride through lush greenery with a personal tour guide, and continue the rest of the day exploring Jatiluwih with a private car and driver.

Whether you’re a fitness junkie, or just a casual adventurer, this tour is suitable for everyone. I deal directly with the best e-bike tour operator in Jatiluwih and costs are included in this booking without markups.

Alternatively, if you’d like to enjoy Jatiluwih without the cycling, consider my Jatiluwih Day Tour.

Cycling through Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Rather than just taking photos from above, this is your chance to get up close and personal with the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. The Jatiluwih Cycling Tour takes you on a 2.5 – 3 hour adventure through a beautiful, scenic route through the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces.

Tour Guide

Your journey will be accompanied by a professional, English-speaking tour guide who is also quite knowledgable with Jatiluwih’s history. The cycling tour is private so you won’t be grouped up with strangers. You’ll have your own personal tour guide for yourselves.

E-Bikes

You won’t have to stress too much about burning extra calories. This cycling tour comes with a Polygon Kalosi Cruise an electric-powered bicycle / e-bike. It’s powered with a battery that’s stored in the back of the bicycle and does a majority of the cycling work. Although, you’ll still need to pedal. It’s not a complex machine and you’ll find it’s just like riding a regular manual bicycle.

Lunch

Included in your Jatiluwih Cycling Tour is a simple Indonesian lunch. You’ll have the choice of Mie Goreng (fried noodles), Nasi Goreng (fried rice), or Ayam Betutu (Balinese chicken). You’re not obligated to eat the provided lunch if you have other plans to eat somewhere else in Jatiluwih.

Jatiluwih Cycling Tour Itinerary

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel or villa and take you directly to the Jatiluwih cycling tour provider. You can also stop for coffee, food, or other attractions on the way to Jatiluwih but I would suggest leaving the other attractions until after your tour.

Upon arrival, you’ll be able to test the bicycles and inspect them for safety. Your tour guide will give you a rundown of the route before you head out to the rice terraces.

During your cycling tour, your tour guide will stop to show you local fruits and other Bali agriculture, along with a bit of Jatiluwih’s cultural history. There’s an optional trekking stop to explore some of the farmland.

You’ll also stop at Besi Kalung Temple (Pura Luhur Besi Kalung), which has quite a rich history being one of the oldest temples in Bali. Along the way, you’ll also be able to stop at a local warung where you can grab some Bali souvenirs (optional).

The Jatiluwih cycling tour will finish off with a delicious Indonesian meal for lunch as mentioned above. Again, this is also optional if you already have lunch plans to find somewhere else to eat. Your driver can suggest a few restaurant options in Jatiluwih.
