Sidewalk Jimbaran (or Sidewalk Shopping Center) is a small local mall in the center of Jimbaran that mixes casual dining, light shopping, and a cinema under one roof.
It’s not fancy or big, but it’s practical, especially if you’re staying nearby and want an easy evening plan without heading into Kuta or Nusa Dua.
If you’re putting together your list of things to do in Jimbaran, Sidewalk is a simple, convenient stop to add in between the beach and dinner plans.
What is Sidewalk Jimbaran?

Sidewalk Jimbaran is a small, semi open-air lifestyle mall in the heart of Jimbaran. It’s where expats and tourists go when they want to grab a decent meal, cool off in the AC, or catch a movie at the cinema.
It’s not a massive shopping center like Beachwalk in Kuta, but that’s kind of the point. It’s relaxed, clean, and easy to get around.
You’ll find a mix of international brands, a couple of cafes, and some restaurants that serve some decent food.
If you’re staying in Jimbaran and want a low-key mall / food court vibe, this is the spot. Dinner, coffee, and a movie all in one place. Simple and comfortable.

Sidewalk Jimbaran sits right along Jalan Uluwatu (Uluwatu Street), the main road that runs through Jimbaran all the way to Uluwatu.
Sidewalk Jimbaran location on Google Maps: 6536+CG Ungasan, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia.
If you’re already staying in Jimbaran, you can reach it in under 10 minutes from most hotels or beaches in the area.
Here are some average travel times from major areas in Bali
- From Canggu: 1.5 hrs (24 km)
- From Kuta: 30 mins (12 km)
- From Nusa Dua: 25 mins (10 km)
- From Sanur: 45 mins (22 km)
- From Seminyak: 45 mins (15 km)
- From Ubud: 1 hr 45 mins (45 km)
- From Uluwatu: 35 mins (12 km)
I don’t recommend coming all the way from Ubud or Canggu just to visit Sidewalk Jimbaran. If you’re nearby, go for it.
If you’re further out, there are better malls to shop and eat at. If you’re passing through to Uluwatu, it can be a quick stop.

Stores at Sidewalk Jimbaran

If you’re coming to Sidewalk Jimbaran expecting a full-blown shopping mall, you’ll probably walk out a little underwhelmed. It’s not that kind of place.
Most of the ground floor is taken up by Gourmet Market, which is actually pretty handy if you’re staying in a villa nearby. You’ll find imported groceries, snacks, drinks, and ingredients that are hard to find in regular local shops.
Beyond that, there are just a few small stores: a pharmacy, clinic, salon, barbershop, some accessory and jewelry shops, and a small electronics stores upstairs. It’s more of a convenient pit stop than a shopping destination.
If you want to do some proper shopping in Bali, you’re better off heading to Beachwalk in Kuta or Bali Collection in Nusa Dua.
Where to Eat at Sidewalk Jimbaran

There are definitely more places to eat here than to shop. The main dining area is on the ground floor, set up like an open-air food court or garden area with a mix of restaurants and coffee spots.
It’s quiet during the day, but things start to pick up around sunset when locals and tourists drop by for dinner. The vibe’s casual. You can sit outside, enjoy the evening air, and people-watch while you eat.
Some of the bigger names here include Sushi Tei, Brazilian Aussie BBQ, J.CO, and Rayjin, all solid choices if you want something a bit nicer than your usual mall food.
Cinépolis Jimbaran
Cinépolis is one of the few places in Jimbaran where you can actually catch a movie in a proper cinema.
It’s tucked away on the top floor of Sidewalk Jimbaran and is fairly small compared to the bigger theaters you’ll find in Kuta or Denpasar.
They usually show a mix of Indonesian films and popular English-language movies, so you’ll still get the latest releases. The seats are comfortable, the air-con works perfectly, and the sound system does the job.
The best part? It’s rarely crowded. If there’s a movie you’ve been meaning to see, this is a good spot. Just avoid weekends when the big titles hit, because that’s when locals tend to fill it up.
Events at Sidewalk Jimbaran

Even though Sidewalk Jimbaran is a small and fairly quiet mall, they actually do a good job of keeping things lively with regular events.
You’ll often find something going on almost every week, from themed weekends to small performances and community activities.
These aren’t big festivals or huge parties, but more family-friendly shows, live music, and seasonal celebrations.
Think along the lines of cabaret nights, Halloween events, Independence Day performances, or cultural showcases like The Colour of Indonesia.
Most events are free to attend, so it’s worth checking their Instagram to see what’s coming up. If you’re looking for something casual to do in the evening after Jimbaran beach, it’s an easy way to unwind and catch a bit of local atmosphere without the crowds.

Parking & Facilities

Most of the parking at Sidewalk Jimbaran is in the basement level, and while it’s convenient, it fills up pretty quickly, especially if there’s an event on the weekend.
A lot of visitors have complained about the limited space and the slow exit during busy hours.
There’s also VIP parking right in front of the mall for a small premium. It’s limited, but if you manage to get a spot, you’ll be just a few steps from the main entrance.
Parking rates:
- Scooters: IDR 2,000 / hr
- Cars: IDR 5,000 / hr
- VIP Parking: IDR 35,000
Facilities are basic but decent. The toilets are clean and modern, and there’s an escalator that takes you up to the first floor.
There’s also an elevator connecting the basement parking to the upper levels, though it can be painfully slow when the place gets crowded.
Is Sidewalk Jimbaran Worth Visiting?

If you’re staying in Jimbaran, then yes, it’s worth a quick visit. It’s one of the only mall-style spots around, and it’s handy if you want dinner, groceries, or a quick movie without leaving the area.
But if you’re staying elsewhere, you’re not missing out on much. Sidewalk Jimbaran is more of a community mall than a destination. There aren’t that many shops, and the food options, while decent, won’t blow you away.
