The Indonesian Government has announced the new mandatory Indonesia Health Pass for entry to The Republic of Indonesia, including the island province of Bali. It’s called the SATUSEHAT Health Pass or SSHP and will apply to all international travelers coming to Bali or anywhere else in Indonesia.
What is the SATUSEHAT Health Pass
The Indonesia health pass / SATUSEHAT Health Pass is the Indonesian Ministry of Health’s strategy to manage and monitor the potential spread of Monkeypox cases (now called Mpox), within Indonesian borders.
The SATUSEHAT Health Pass itself is a digital health pass that contains your general health declaration which is submitted via an online form. It’s currently available in 5 languages – English, Indonesian, French, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
When is the Indonesia Health Pass effective?
The SATUSEHAT Indonesia Health Pass is effective as of August 27th, 2024 and applies to all international travelers and flight personnel who are entering Indonesia, including tourists who are arriving at Bali Airport.
The Indonesia Health Pass will be effective until further notice.
Where can I get the Indonesia Health Pass?
The SATUSEHAT Health Pass can be completed online via the official Indonesian Ministry of Health’s website here. It requires you to submit a few key personal and flight details.
What details do I need to submit?
The SSHP form itself is quite simple, requires minimal effort, and will take about a minute or two to complete.
You’ll need to submit a few personal details such as your full name, phone number, and passport number. The form also requires you to fill in some flight details, including your date of arrival, port of arrival (in the case of Bali Airport it will be DPS), and flight and seat numbers.
Currently there are only 3 simple additional questions:
- Do you have any symptoms such as fever, skin rashes, or swollen lymph nodes? (Yes / No)
- Have you come in contact with rodents, primates, or anyone showing symptoms of Mpox 21 days prior to arrival? (Yes / No)
- Countries that you have visited prior to Indonesia, including your origin departure (multiple selection, if applicable)
After you’ve completed the details above, all that’s left is to tick the box that you declare all of the submitted information is correct, and you’re all set!
When should I complete the Indonesia Health Pass?
The SATUSEHAT Indonesia Health Pass must be completed within 48 hours of your departure.
If you attempt to submit your information before that, the form will not allow you to. Any other date selections will be disabled.
What to do with the Indonesia Health Pass?
After submitting your information, a QR code will be generated in the next page.
Take a screenshot, save the link or save this image in your phone’s gallery in case you’re ever asked to present it upon arrival at Bali Airport.
How much does the Indonesia Health Pass cost?
The Indonesia Health Pass / SATUSEHAT Health Pass is free.
You do not need to pay any fees nor will the website ask you to submit any credit card details or other payment information. Please use the official online form and be wary of fake websites that might steal your information.
Who must complete the Indonesia Health Pass?
At the time of writing this, all international travelers who are planning a trip to Indonesia must complete the SATUSEHAT Health Pass – this includes those planning a holiday in Bali.

All flight personnel, including pilots, flight attendants, and other flight crew members, are also required to fill complete the Indonesia Health Pass before entering Indonesia.

Will this affect my Bali holiday?
The Indonesia Health Pass / SATUSEHAT Health Pass will not affect your trip to Bali. You’ll have nothing to worry about if you’re healthy and coming from anywhere except the countries I mentioned above. This is simply an effort to track and respond to the spread of Mbox and avoid another pandemic.
As frustrating as it might be to fill out yet another travel form, including the Bali Tourist Tax form, it will go a long way in terms of making your Bali trip a simple holiday without any complications and surprises.
