Shopping is almost unavoidable while you’re in Bali. With a wide range of unique products, international brands, and local arts, you can shop to your heart’s content at any of the shopping malls and markets.
Bali is now home to one of the largest shopping malls, Icon Bali Mall. Located in Sanur, the shopping mall offers a diverse shopping experience ranging from local brands to international luxury goods.
Here’s another destination to add to your to Bali bucket list, regardless if you’re looking for somewhere to shop for stuff or you simply want to explore this massive shopping centre in Sanur.
About Icon Bali Mall
Opened to the public in 2024, Icon Bali Mall is among some of the Best Shopping Malls in Bali, being of the only big shopping centers in Sanur. It’s a beautiful location with direct access to and from Sanur Beach at the back.
The mall itself is a multi-level complex that features a wide range of international retail stores, restaurants and cafes, and entertainment venues spanning across several floors. Aside from shopping, the mall aims to become a major destination Bali, making it one of the top things to do in Sanur.
Shopping at Icon Bali Mall
The mall is an ideal shopping center if you’re looking to buy authentic international products. When it comes to fashion, you’ll find familiar names like Coach, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Steve Madden, Uniqlo, and Lacoste. You can also find some local brands at Icon Bali Mall like BaliZen, Kimaya Bali, and Bamboo Blonde.
A decent selection of sports and fitness apparel brands; Adidas, Convese, Puma, and Skechers. For jewelry, you can find Pandora, Swarovski, and Frank & Co. As well as some travel shops like Tumi and Thule.
There are only a few electronics stores – Samsung, Digimap (where you can find Apple products), Erafone, and Playworks. Beauty and Health stores: Sephora, The Body Shop, Crusita, and Bath & Body Works.
Facilities at Icon Bali Mall
The mall is well equipped. You can find elevators and escalators on every end. Decent sized washrooms at just the right distance from each other so you don’t need to panic to find a toilet for an emergency pee. There are a few kiosks with concierge if you need to ask for help or directions.
There’s a small amphitheater at the centre of Icon Bali Mall which regularly hosts events. You can catch a dance performance, a live DJ, and even fashion shows. All the events are free for everyone to experience.
At the top floor there is a Cinema XXI with IMAX if you feel the need to catch a movie, as well as a Timezone arcade to have some fun with the little ones. Car Parking is in the basement and a taxi queue in the front at the main entrance.
Where to eat at Icon Bali Mall?
The beach floor towards the back features about 20 restaurants like Akari Sushi, Natys Bar & Grills, Johnny Rockets, and Starbucks. A few of these face the ocean if you’re looking to dine with a view of the beach.
The ground floor has a handful of restaurants, including Golden Monkey and Blossom Steakhouse – highly recommended if you on the prowl for some quality beef and seafood, or a Sunday Roast.
Towards the top, you’ll come across a few more cafes, dessert spots, juice bars, and some dine-in restaurant options. The first floor will have a few familiar names like Subway and Cold Stone. Generally speaking, the mall is well equipped with options when it comes to food.
You can also hunt for local snacks and bites at the Icon Bali Mall Floating Market, which claims to be the largest floating market in Southeast Asia (even though its just sitting on a thin layer of water – not quite floating is it?).
The Floating Market features smaller vendors and stalls that sell food and snacks like Bakso, Klepon, Mie Ayam, Donuts, and fruit juices. There are currently about 25 small vendors here and can be a great place to try some local snacks if you haven’t tried as yet.
How to get to Icon Bali Mall?
If you’re going to Icon Bali Mall with your family or a group of friends, you can book a private car and driver. I work with a some of the best drivers in Bali who will pick you up from your hotel or villa, wait for you while you shop, and take you back at the end of the day – or anywhere else.
Alternatively, if you only plan to spend a few hours shopping at Icon Bali Mall, book a private car and driver half day hire instead. You’ll have 5 hours with your own vehicle and driver without having to worry about transport or taxis to and from the mall.

What else to do in Sanur?
Icon Bali Mall is conveniently located on Sanur Beach. After shopping, relax on the shoreline or go for a stroll along Sanur Boardwalk. You can also rent a bicycle and go for a little ride – a beautiful experience during sunset.
Alternatively, you can also head to Sanur Beach for sunrise before you explore Icon Bali Mall. Sanur is famous for its sunrises and I personally know of many who went out of their way to catch the sunrise in Sanur.
Final thoughts on Icon Bali Mall
As I said before, the mall is a wonderful choice to get some shopping done. Even if you aren’t shopping and you’re simply looking for something calm and relaxing to do, going for a walk through the mall, exploring some food options, then head to the beach for some fresh air might be something to conside.

Should I bring cash or credit cards?
All of the vendors at the mall accept international credit and debit cards. If you have foreign currency on you and you’re looking for a money changer, there are a couple of money changers in the mall. You’ll also find a few Indonesian-owned banks and ATMs if you need to withdraw cash.
Is Icon Bali Mall suitable for kids?
It can be a wonderful place for the little ones to explore. Aside from Cinema XXI and Timezone, they can enjoy the performances at the amphitheater or go for a stroll outside at the beach – where there’s also a swing. (Hint: Grab a photo!)
Is Icon Bali Mall wheelchair friendly?
The mall is relatively wheelchair friendly. There is disabled parking available, as well as flat escalators which takes you up from the parking (like the ones they have at the airport). You can also easily use the elevators.
Can I drive a scooter to Icon Bali Mall?
There is a massive scooter parking in the basement of the mall. Keep in mind, it’s a bit of a maze and still being upgrade (since the mall is fairly new). Scooter parking at the mall is IDR 2k per hour so it shouldn’t hurt the wallet too much.
When is the best time to visit Icon Bali Mall?
You’re good to go at anytime during your visit to Bali.
