Booking Overview
The Uluwatu Kecak Dance is one of Bali’s most iconic cultural performances. It’s held daily at sunset in an open-air amphitheater on the cliffs of Uluwatu Temple, with the Indian Ocean as the backdrop.
The show features about 50 Balinese men chanting “chak chak chak” in rhythmic unison, retelling a scene from the Ramayana epic. There’s no musical instrument — just the sound of the human voice, fire, and movement. It performance lasts about an hour.
There are 2 shows each day: 5:45 PM, and 6:45 PM. The earlier show gets you the dramatic sunset, the later show feels more intense in the dark. Aim to arrive early to grab good seats.
For example, if you’re staying in Seminyak and prefer the the 5:45 PM performance, you’ll be picked up around 3:00 PM to arrive for 4:30 – 4:45 PM. Your driver will guide you through the gates.

Yes — you can select the 5:45 PM or 7:00 PM show when booking. We’ll time the pickup based on your preferred show.
Do I need to wear anything specific?
Nope. A sarong and sash are provided at the temple. Just dress respectfully — no bikinis or shirtless entries.
What if it rains?
The show usually still goes on unless it’s a total downpour. If it’s cancelled, we’ll help you reschedule.
Can I request a dinner stop after the show?
Yes — we can add a stop at Jimbaran seafood beach or somewhere else nearby. Just let us know in advance. You can also pay your driver directly for extra time.
Is this a guided tour of Uluwatu Temple?
No — this package includes transport and tickets only. There’s no live guide, but your driver can answer basic questions.
Is the amphitheater seating assigned?
Nope. It’s first come, first served. We’ll get you there early so you have time to grab a good spot.
