Although Lovina is a small coastal town, there’s no shortage of restaurants to choose from. Since it’s also a fishing town, you’ll find fresh seafood almost everywhere – prawns, mahi-mahi, tuna, clams, and squid.
You’ll also find a variety of other choices like Indonesian food, Italian Food, cafes, and even vegan food. Among the handful of things to do in Lovina, eating is definitely one of them.
Listed below are some of the best restaurants in Lovina where you can have a satisfying meal during your time in North Bali. Consider visiting some of these for a meal during your Lovina Dolphin Watching Tour or any of your visits to North Bali.
1. Warung Apple Lovina
First on my list of best restaurants in Lovina is Warung Apple. This is a very unassuming place to eat as it looks pretty much like any other restaurant on this street. But after many underwhelming meals at other restaurants in Lovina, Warung Apple saved my palette.
I ordered the Nasi Campur Special, a balance of several signature Indonesian meals – rice, sate (skewers), veggies, kerupuk (rice crackers), and tempe. While the spiciness is mild compared to more local Bali food, it’s still very enjoyable.
Address: Jl. Mawar, Lovina
Opening hours: 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
Cuisine: Indonesian, Seafood
2. The 10th Table
One of the best restaurants in Lovina when it comes to having a dining experience. The 10th Table is open daily but for dinner only, from 5:30 pm until the last order at 10:00. So you’ll need to make a reservation if you’re in Lovina during peak season.
The menu is features a fusion of both Belgian and French cuisines, and while it might be on the pricier side, the experience is totally worth it!
Address: Jl. Seririt – Singaraja No. 178
Opening hours: 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm
Cuisine: French, Belgian
3. Semina Restaurant
Semina is considered one of the original restaurants in Lovina. It started in 1987 as a small warung (local stall), and evolved over the years along with Lovina’s tourism, still family owned and operated to this day.
Since my taste buds are accustomed to Indonesian spicy food, I must admit I was a bit underwhelmed. That being said, if you’re craving to try Indonesian food but too scared to suffer the spiciness, then Semina can be a great spot for you as the receipes have been adjusted for western tastes.

5. Coffeenosky Coffee & Eatery
Maybe not in my top 10 best restaurants in Lovina but definitely a fantastic cafe for breakfast. The menu has your typical breakfast options – croissants, avocado and toast, eggs benedict, and so on. Their coffee is also quite nice.
Aside from the food, Coffeenosky sits on the perfect location offering views of the mountain. The location hints an minimalist-industrial style, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend sitting on the back balcony for the views!

6. Funky Place Lovina
As the name suggests, it is indeed a very funky place – neon lights everywhere and colorful antique decor. Funky Place Lovina is a hostel, restaurant, cafe, and bar. This is one of the best restaurants in Lovina to grab a drink at night and enjoy some live music and DJs.

8. Cafe Leo
Cafe Leo, formerly Cafe Greco, is a good spot to grab some brunch or if you’re craving some coffee and cake. The cafe has a very laid back atmosphere that reminds me of Sanur, and the owners are quite friendly.
Address: Jl. Desa Kalibukbuk-Anturan
Opening hours: 7:00 am – 9:00 pm
Cuisine: Cafe, Desserts
9. Lumbung Bar & Restaurant
Lumbung is among my handful of personal favorite restaurants in Lovina to eat some grilled food and grab a beer. The menu offers very tempting choices like chicken schnitzel, hot dog, smoked pork chop, and fries.
After sunset, Lumbung becomes a popular choice to have a drink. They have very friendly bar staff who makes quite impressive cocktails. I’m a big fan of their BMW cocktail – Bailey’s, Malibu, and Whiskey.

Opening hours: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm

10. Akar Cafe
This is probably one the best restaurants in Lovina that offers an entire menu of vegetarian and vegan food. The options range through Indian, Middle Eastern, Indonesia, and even Mexican food – all adapted for vegetarians and vegans.
It’s a small, cozy location that’s painted and decorated almost entirely green, with both indoor seating and outdoor terrace in the back.
Address: Jl. Binaria, Lovina
Opening hours: 7:00 am – 10:00 pm
Cuisine: Vegetarian, Vegan

Opening hours: 8:00 am – 9:00 pm
Cuisine: Bakery, Desserts, Cafe
13. Bintang Bali Restaurant
Another one of the fantastic restaurants in Lovina where you can grab food on the beach. Well in this case, close to the beach. Bintang Bali is located right at the entrance to the main parking area at Lovina Beach.
While they advertise it as a seafood restaurant, the menu has a wider variety of options to choose from like burgers, fries, chicken cordon bleu, etc. Bintang Bali is also a good spot to grab a late night drink.
Address: Jl. Mawar, Lovina
Opening hours: 9:00 am – 11:00 pm
Cuisine: Seafood, Bar food
14. Warung Jegeg
Although it’s listed on Google Maps as a primarily Balinese cuisine, the menu at Warung Jegeg has enough options for everyone to have a meal – seafood, Indonesian food, desserts, and more. It offers a vibe that’s quite similar to other restaurants in Lovina, but the restaurant prides themselves in maintaining low-cost meals at local prices.
Address: Jl Raya Lovina – Singaraja
Opening hours: 8:00 am – 11:00 pm
Cuisine: Indonesian, Mixed
15. Tanda Pizza Restaurant
Tanda Pizza Restaurant is among the few Italian restaurants in Lovina where you can eat authentic Italian food and pizza. Not much to say here. If you’re a pizza lover, check them out. Their Tiramisu is also a hit.

Opening hours: 11:30 am – 10:00 pm

Opening hours: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Cuisine: Turkish, Mediterranean
18. Eric Dolphin Restaurant
I suppose geographically this isn’t actually among the restaurants in Lovina, but a few minutes east. Eric Dolphin Restaurant sits on a wonderful location by the beach and serves delicious seafood with Balinese spices.
The restaurant is still family owned and you’ll encounter Eric on the frontlines taking orders and greeting guests. We are also parterend with Eric for the Lovina Dolphin Watching Tour.

Sea Breeze is another of the restaurants in Lovina where you can have seafood by the beach. My only complaint is that they take a while with the food and sometimes the seafood may or may not be fresh.

MeVui is a chain of Vietnamese restaurants in Bali, with one of the 8 locations being in Lovina. If you’re craving some Pho, this is probably one of the only restaurants in Lovina where you can have your fix. I must admit, not the most comfortable seating, but pretty good Vietnamese food.

Final thoughts on Restaurants in Lovina
You shouldn’t have a hard time finding decent restaurants in Lovina. The list above is simply the best restaurants in Lovina that I can recommend. Of course, there are tons more.
As you can see, there’s more than enough options when it comes to finding Bali local food, and also a good selection of international cuisines like Vietnamese, Italian, and Turkish food. A majority of the restaurants in Lovina serve fresh seafood.
How to get to Lovina
If you’re headed there directly from Bali Airport, you can book my Bali Airport Transfer to Lovina. You’ll be picked up by a friendly driver in a private, air-conditioned SUV and taken directly to your hotel or villa in Lovina.
Alternatively, if you’re staying elsewhere, consider exploring Lovina for a day with my Lovina Dolphin Watching and Day Tour with a private car and driver. Or, if you plan on spending a few days in Lovina, book a private car and driver to remove some of the stress of finding transportation while you’re in North Bali.
I went to 10 Table, IMO, over inflated, the owner is ego driven and I could not have a slice of bread that was without butter, every piece of bread came with butter. The sign of a good restaurant, NOT.
Mentari, fish is good when fresh, but more times than not the fish is frozen
Buda has a great selection of food, other than bakery items, BUT, its fkn hot, real hot, they have fans everywhere but it just circulated hot air as the eating area is above the pizza ovens and the cooking area. Their beer is not cold.
It is often said that Bali is a food lovers Island, but in many cases it is the same, same food in every place,
You would think that with so many restaurants near the ocean than fish is available fresh daily, BUT, this is NOT the case.
I go to the fish market, select my own fish, they will try and scam you with what they think is fresh fish as they need to sell it, but infact much is not fresh on the day. There is no refrigeration, just ice box fish. Fresh Mahi Mahi always has bright skin colour, I buy and then go to a friend’s local resto who cooks it for us
Hi Silvio,
Thanks for the feedback.
Safe travels,
Michael
