This is more than just a cultural experience — it’s a deeply personal journey led by a traditional healer (Balian) and priestess (Jero), practiced in the sacred art of energy work and spiritual cleansing.
Held in Ubud, this private session blends ancient rituals with intuitive healing. Balinese Spiritual Healer Session Overview
If you’re dealing with emotional trauma, uncertainty, or just feeling energetically blocked, this private traditional Balinese spiritual healer session can help bring clarity and release.
You’ll be guided by a Balian (traditional healer) and a Jero (Balinese high priestess), both deeply rooted in generations of Balinese spiritual practice.
This is more than just a cultural ritual — it’s a deeply personal experience. The session lasts around 1.5 hours and includes guided purification, energy work, and spiritual cleansing tailored to your needs.
Whether you’re spiritually curious or seeking healing on a deeper level, this is a powerful journey into Balinese spirituality.
What You’ll Experience
Every session with a Balinese spiritual healer is a journey — calming for some, intense for others, but always transformative.
No two healing sessions are the same. Some people feel an overwhelming sense of peace. Others experience powerful emotional releases. But almost everyone walks away with a lighter heart, a quieter mind, and a renewed sense of clarity. This is your time to reset — spiritually, emotionally, and energetically.
Opening Prayer and Offering Ritual

Your session begins with a moment of stillness. You’ll be guided through a short prayer and meditation to cleanse your mind and open your heart. Together with the Balinese spiritual healer and priestess, you’ll make simple offerings (Canang Sari), set your intention, and create the spiritual space for healing to begin.
Energy Work and Deep Healing

This is the heart of your healing session. You’ll lie down as the healer begins a series of energy readings and cleansing rituals using prayer, touch, and sound — often with a singing bowl. It’s incredibly peaceful. Many people feel so calm they drift into sleep.
The healer may gently place her hands on your forehead and chest, helping to release built-up negative energy. Some guests notice the healer reacting physically — yawning, coughing, or even gagging — which in Balinese tradition is believed to be the release of stagnant or harmful energy.
Integration and Guidance

After the healing work, you’ll slowly return to a grounded state. This is when you’ll chat with the priestess and healer about what came up during your session — emotions, memories, or visions. The priestess will help interpret the healer’s insights and you’ll have space to ask any questions that arise.
Melukat (Water Purification Ritual)

Your session ends with a Melukat, a traditional Balinese water purification ritual. This sacred cleansing uses holy spring water and prayer to wash away any remaining negative energy and seal the healing you’ve just received. It’s a quiet, grounding moment — a symbolic reset that leaves you feeling refreshed, renewed, and deeply connected.

Balinese Spiritual Healer Session FAQs
What is a Balinese spiritual healer?
A Balinese spiritual healer, or Balian, is a traditional energy healer who uses prayer, intuition, and ancient rituals to help remove energetic blockages and restore balance. They are often consulted by locals for both physical and spiritual issues.
Is the Balinese healing session religious?
It’s rooted in Balinese Hindu practices, but you don’t need to follow any religion to participate. It’s more spiritual than religious — focused on energy, cleansing, and personal intention.
Where does the healing session take place?
All sessions take place at a private Balinese compound in Ubud. The exact location will be shared after booking.
How long is the Balinese healing session?
The full session lasts around 1.5 hours, including the opening prayers, energy work, melukat water purification, and post-session reflection.
Can I choose the Balinese spiritual healer?
We work closely with a trusted Balian and priestess who have years of experience. You must be very careful when choosing healers – some are fake or under experienced. Whether you’re a spiritual person or not, do not let just any stranger off the street mess with your mind or energy.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. A sarong will be provided if needed.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. All ceremonial items, sarongs, and refreshments are included. Just wear respectful clothing and arrive with an open mind.
Can I book transportation?
Yes — Whether you’re staying inside or outside of Ubud, you can add a private car and driver in the booking form above. It’s highly recommended if you want a smooth, stress-free trip to the healer’s location and back.
Is the experience intense or emotional?
It can be. Some people feel calm and peaceful, while others experience emotional release. The healer may also physically react (yawning, coughing, gagging) as she clears your negative energy.
Can I ask questions after the healing session?
Absolutely. There’s time at the end to reflect on the experience and ask any questions. The priestess will help interpret anything the healer wants to share with you.
Can I book the healing session with a group of friends?
You can, but I recommend only bringing those who are close to you. The session is very personal and you might not feel comfortable sharing the experience with new friends or people you aren’t that close with.
How to get there on my own?
Location details will be provided after booking. If you selected “no transport”, you can rent a scooter from Bikago if you don’t have one as yet.
